Reimagining English Education:

Call for Abstracts

The Lao TESOL Organizing Committee invites teachers, teacher educators, researchers, graduate students, and education leaders to submit abstracts for presentation at the LaoTESOL 2027 Conference. This year's theme, “Reimagining English Education: Creativity, Collaboration, and Superintelligence (SI)-Ready Learners,” invites presenters to explore how English language teaching can evolve to meet the needs of learners in a rapidly changing world — through new technologies, more meaningful engagement, and a clear-eyed look at where the profession is headed.

We welcome submissions from classroom teachers, school and university administrators, researchers, and graduate students working in Laos and across the region. Sessions may take the form of hands-on workshops (60 minutes), paper presentations (30 minutes), panel discussions (60 minutes), or poster presentations (30 minutes), organized around the three conference pillars below.

The hands-on workshops are 60-minute practical, interactive professional development sessions designed to help English language teachers improve their classroom teaching skills.

The panel discussions are 60-minute interactive professional dialogue sessions in which a moderator and a group of invited experts discuss important issues, challenges, innovations, and future directions in English Language Teaching (ELT).

The poster presentations (approximately 30 minutes) are visual and interactive academic presentation sessions in which English language teachers, researchers, teacher educators, and students present their research findings, classroom innovations, teaching experiences, or educational projects through a poster.

The parallel presentations are 30-minute academic and professional presentations in which English language teachers, researchers, teacher educators, and other education professionals share their research findings, classroom experiences, teaching strategies, and innovative ideas related to English Language Teaching (ELT).
