Conference Venue – Souphanouvong University
The 20th LaoTESOL conference 2026 will be held in the Auditorium at Souphanouvong University, Luang Prabang. The auditorium is approximately 300 metres from 13th North Road, about a 5–7 minute walk. After entering through the main gate, proceed straight ahead. The Auditorium is the second building on the left, near the university’s central administration building. Directional signs and volunteers will be available to assist participants. For map reference, please refer to the Google Map below.

From Luang Prabang International Airport (LPQ)
Distance: approximately 3–4 km
Travel Time: 10–15 minutes
Recommended Option: Airport Taxi (Direct to Campus)
Official airport taxis are available outside the arrival terminal.
Purchase a ticket at the airport taxi counter before exiting.
Estimated fare to Souphanouvong University: 50,000–100,000 LAK per vehicle (depending on luggage and number of passengers).
Payment is generally in cash (LAK).

Taxis can drop passengers directly at the main gate of the university.
From Luang Prabang Railway Station
Distance: approximately 12–15 km
Travel Time: 20–30 minutes
The railway station is located outside the city centre, so private transport is recommended.
Option 1: Taxi
Taxis are available outside the station when trains arrive.
Estimated fare to Souphanouvong University: 150,000–250,000 LAK per vehicle (please confirm before departure).
This is the most convenient option, especially for participants with luggage.
Option 2: Pre-arranged Hotel Transfer
Many hotels can arrange pickup from the train station.
If staying in the city centre, you may travel to your hotel first and then take a short taxi or tuk-tuk ride (about 10 minutes) to the university.
From Luang Prabang City Centre
If you are staying in the city centre:
Distance: approximately 4–5 km
Travel Time: 10–15 minutes
Transportation: taxi or tuk-tuk
Estimated fare: 40,000–80,000 LAK (confirm before departure)

After entering through the main gate, proceed straight ahead.
The Auditorium is the second building on the left, clearly visible from the entrance and located near the central administrative building.
Directional signs and conference volunteers will assist participants on campus.
